It’s just fantastic even in the USA to meet horse people who are interested in classical, historical work with horses.
In Payton, Colorado I was lucky to meet Madison Robertson this week. She made herself a cavesson like she found in the german book of Georg Engelhard Löhneyß: „DE LA CAVALLERIA“, 17th century.
Her self-made replica shows an absolutely amazing true to original quality .
I was deeply impressed, since I own a personal and unique reprint of this book (see video) from 1624.
I had than the honor to ride her very sensitive Andalusian mare with this cavesson. What a great feeling to ride a horse in kind of a way, the old masters did. It suited very well to the horse.
Thank you, Madison for your afford to bring equestrian history back to real life .
